Why Promote Music in Your School?

  1. + Improve Pupils Learning and Development
Music edcuation of young children has been shown to help with their brain development, particularly for processing sound, language development, speech perception and reading skills. Research shows a causal link between music and spatial intelligence.

It can also have a powerful impact on children with special ecuational needs by helping them find new ways to communicate and share.
  2. + Teamwork, Discipline and Confidence

Music making in groups improves teamwork, self-discipline and builds confidence in children. Pupils must work together towards a single goal, commit to learning their parts and regularly attend lessons.

Performing to an audience, as a soloist or part of an ensemble, quickly builds confidence, self-esteem and communication skills.

  3. + Live Music and Your Own School Band
Pupils can contribute to school life through live music performances in assemblies and concerts. A great experience for both the performers and listeners.

If numbers allow we can even start a school band which enhances the enjoyment of playing by combining pupils into a larger ensemble.
  4. + Awards and Certifications
We offer the opportunity for pupils to enter graded exams through the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM). This allows them to work towards an internationally recognised qualification and be rewarded for their hard work.
