Our unique group teaching scheme means that we can make our lessons affordable for everyone, and we have options to suit different budgets.
Initially, pupils enrol for 10 lessons which are paid for at the point of registration. This usually correlates to approximately a term of tuition, which we believe is needed for a pupil to decide if learning an instrument is for them.
After this, lessons are paid for in blocks of 5 every half term (2 months), by Direct Debit. The cost of lessons depends which of the following applies:
WHEN YOUR INSTRUMENT IS SUPPLIED BY NORMANS MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS
We are lucky to be supported by Normans Musical Instruments, and those parents using a Normans Instrument benefit from subsidised lessons. The first block of 10 lessons is half price and costs £35, payable on enrolment.
Going forward, lessons are £35 per block of 5 and payment is made every 2 months via Direct Debit. This is the price of tuition only, please visit the Enrol my Child page for more information about instrument prices.
WHEN YOU PROVIDE YOUR OWN INSTRUMENT
If you have an instrument already you can pay for lessons only.
Lessons are £37.50 per block of 5 (£75.00 for the first 10 lessons) and payment is made every 2 months via Direct Debit.
In addition, you will need to purchase any tuition books, a music stand and book bag. This will usually total less than £20, depending upon the supplier.
REDUCED PRICE LESSONS
Reduced price lessons are available to parents whose children are eligible for Free School Meals (supporting documentation required).
Lessons are £20 per block of 5 and payment is made every 2 months via Direct Debit.
Please contact us for further information about reduced price lessons.
On tutor recommendation only, we can offer 20 minute individual lessons.
Lessons are £49.50 per block of 5 and payment is made every 2 months via Direct Debit.
For those parents needing an instrument, again we have several different options. Go to our Enrol My Child page for more information on the packages available.
If you currently have lessons and need to register with GoCardless, please click here.
While everything your child needs to get started will be supplied with any instrument package you choose, there may be other costs along the way. Like any activity your child takes part in, as they progress they may need other resources. For clarinet and saxophone players, reeds will be required on a regular basis, and additional music may be suggested if thought to be of benefit. Your child's tutor will advise as and when anything extra is needed.
