What happens at a music workshop?
Pupils arrive for a 9.30am start. The fun starts straight away, with games and activities and usually a first attempt at a big group practice! The music played is usually appropriate to the time of year or theme of the workshop.
After lunch, pupils are usually separated into instrument sections, so that band parts can be practiced more thoroughly. There will be one more group practice later in the afternoon by which time things are usually sounding much better!
Parents need to be back at the venue by 3pm as there will be an end of day concert, which is always entertaining!
